KINGSTON, Robert Francis (Bob), Captain (Ret’d) RCOC

KingstonBob passed peacefully, at the age of 96, after a full and satisfying life, on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

Predeceased by his precious wife of 67 years, Alice (Turner) he is survived by his children Robert W. (Mary) of San Clemente, California, Joan (late Mark Spooner), Colleen Gallagher, John, and Diane (John Neshcov), all of the Ottawa area. He was the beloved Papa to 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Bob served as a Captain Regular Force in the Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps, was a Veteran of WWII and peacekeeping in Vietnam. His military service was followed by 13 years with the Public Service (Department of Supply and Services). Bob was a proud member of the Kanata Legion branch 638.

Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, Kanata Chapel 580 Eagleson Rd., Kanata ON K2M1H4 613- 591- 6580 Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, March 2, 2018 to Holy Redeemer Church, 44 Rothesay Dr., Kanata, ON for Mass of Christian Funeral at 11 a.m. Interment in the spring at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fallowfield. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 638 will assemble for a service Thursday at 7 p.m.
